DanceWheels SchoolHouse - ADF's In-School Dance Program

American DanceWheels launched the first-of-its-kind weekly adaptive dance classes for middle and high school students in the USA at a public school in Philadelphia- Widener Memorial School. A few years into the program, ADF partnered with Temple University's Recreation Therapy Department to provide standing partners for all of the students at Widener. The program continued for over 15 years and has spread to other parts of the country! Our program proved to be lifechanging for both the seated and standing dancers, allowing them to create lasting friendships and a different perspective of what's possible when people with and without disabilities are given the necessary support and tools for success.
